Sepino Day Trip
Step back nearly 2,000 years with a guided visit to the remarkably preserved Roman city of Sepino, one of Italy's most impressive archaeological sites. Sepino offers a rare opportunity to explore an ancient city without the crowds found at many of Italy's better-known ruins.
As you walk through the city with an expert guide, you'll discover the remains of homes, shops, thermal baths, and workshops that once formed the heart of daily life. The theater, which once seated nearly 3,000 spectators, still anchors the center of the city, while Latin inscriptions and original gateways offer glimpses into the people who lived and worked here centuries ago.
One of Sepino's most remarkable features is its ingenious water system, including a tower at the South Gate that served as a cistern, supplying water throughout the city by gravity. Ongoing archaeological work continues to reveal new discoveries, making each visit part of the site's evolving story.

Comfortable walking shoes/sandals suggested as terrain is uneven in places.
